Get Involved
There is a lot happening in the Guild!  There are Theater Service Activities, in which Guild volunteers provide services to DTC performers and staff, and enjoy direct interaction with them.  Member Benefit Activities combine educational and social components at interesting locations around town – and sometimes out of town. There are also Guild administrative activities, including membership, communications, financial, and general management functions.
Read on and get involved!
Guild members are always welcome to volunteer for these activities, which are highly valued by DTC staff members.
As work on each play begins, Guild volunteers hear the Artistic Director’s high-energy overview of the play, and meet the design artists, the stars in the cast, and the production crew.  You’ll also meet members of the DTC Board of Trustees.  Guild members bring food for these luncheon events.

Lobby Greeters
Guild volunteers greet theater-goers and point them in the right direction at the Wyly and Kalita Humphries theaters. For some guests, it may be their first time.  It may also be an opportunity to invite them to join the Guild.

General Meetings
Guild members gather to learn about the theater and other arts in Dallas from experts, and have the opportunity to meet Guild members and maintain long-time friendships.  Meetings are in elegant homes or interesting restaurants.

Guild Players
The Guild Players are uninhibited Guild members who get on stage and perform in a one-night run of a comedy with many short scenes, played to an audience of other Guild members.  Job requirement: willingness to give it a try. You may also participate in the technical and stage crew, or in patron services for this event.  Champagne and dessert top off the evening.

Salon Series
In this annual event, actors, directors, and topic experts gather in an elegant home to discuss the context and significant themes of a play in the current season.  Great conversation is fueled by catered food and drink, often with musical accompaniment.  This multifaceted mixture will get you thinking!
